    Performance Improvement Programs are well accepted by courts, arbiters, civil review boards and employees as a non-punitive means for dealing with employee performance deficiencies. They reduce the burden on management by placing the responsibility squarely on the employee's shoulders for improvement, reduces the basis for grievances because they are non-punitive methods for correcting deficient performance and they provide a valid offense against claims of illegal discrimination.

    Attendees will receive a certificate of training, a class manual and hard copies of model forms and policies.

    A 2 1/2-Day Course Hosted By: Spring Garden Township PD & York College of PA Department of Public Safety

    This course is intended for those investigators who are specifically assigned to the criminal investigation of officer involved shootings and in-custody deaths. It is also appropriate for those detectives or uniform personnel who may be required to assist in these types of investigations. Crime scene technicians, medical examiners/coroner investigators, supervisors, military investigators, criminal analysts, and prosecuting attorneys would also benefit from the training.

    • Registration fee includes: Registration materials, Education and Training Seminars, Exhibit Hall, Business Sessions, Coffee Breaks, Lunch (Mon - Wed), Hospitality Room, Conference Activities and Conference Gift.
    • Registration does NOT include: Hotel Accommodations, Dinners and Receptions.
    • All registrations must be received no later than June 1, 2013. A late registration fee of $50 will be applied to all registrations received after that date.

    HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS – Room reservations may be made at http://www.radisson.com/pcpa or by calling the Radisson Hotel Harrisburg at 717-763-7117 (indicate that you are with the PA Chiefs group code PACPA). The conference room rate is $160.00 plus tax and includes breakfast.

    GUEST/FAMILY REGISTRATION –

         Guest/Family Registration Fee     $100 per adult/$50 per child

    • Family refers to spouse or family member, not a business associate or fellow law enforcement colleague.  Only the family member's name, city, and state will appear on his or her badge. Guest/Family registration includes: Registration materials, Education and Training Seminars and Workshops, Exhibit Hall, Business Sessions, Coffee Breaks, Ladies Luncheon (Tuesday), Evening Hospitality Room, Conference Activities and Attendee Gift. Children Under 12 are Free
    • There is no additional cost for guests staying in the same room as a registered attendee, however, meals must be purchased separately for each guest (package and individual meals available).

    CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY

    • All cancellations must be made in writing and mailed, faxed or emailed to PCPA Headquarters.  A penalty will apply.  No telephone cancellations will be accepted. 
    • A $50 penalty will be assessed on all cancellations postmarked or faxed/e-mailed dated on or before May 23, 2013.
    • A $75 penalty will be assessed on all cancellations postmarked or faxed/e-mailed dated between May 24 and 31, 2013.
    • No refunds will be issued on or after June 1, 2013.  No refunds will be given for no-shows.
    • For Room Reservations: There will be no room cancellation charge for reservations cancelled 48 hours in advance. reservations not cancelled 48 hours in advance will be chrged one night's room and tax charges.  All room cancellations must be made directly with the Hotel.
