Fall 2005 Training Schedule

One of our primary goals is to offer quality, affordable and dynamic training programs to all personnel of the law enforcement community of Pennsylvania. Please email Angela Jones, Testing/Training Coordinator for more information.
 

Shoe and Tire Impression Evidence, September 7-9, 2005, HACC, Harrisburg, PA.                         $65.00    This course provides instruction in the history of shoe and tire impression evidence, search, documentation, and the collection of the impression evidence. Students will participate in several workshops including photography, measuring, and casting impression evidence.

Crime Scene Photography, September 12-16, 2005, Lancaster Public Safety Center, Lancaster, PA.    $65.00   This course provides training in the usage of a 35mm camera, film selection, lens selection, use of electronic flash, macro-photography and documentation.

Basic Crime Scene Investigation, September 26-October 7, 2005, MPOETC, Harrisburg, PA.          $75.00    This is an introductory course into crime scene investigation. Course instruction provided in the areas of Physical Evidence, Crime scene Management, types of evidence found at the crime scene, proper collection techniques, submissions to Regional crime labs, and courtroom testimony. Each student will participate in the mock crime scenes. Prerequisite for registration: Crime Scene Photography or equivalent PSP approved training.

Advanced Latent Print Identification - October 17-28, 2005, PSP, Troop H, Harrisburg, PA.            $80.00 This course provides a refresher in the foundation of friction ridge analysis with respect to the history and science of fingerprints, pattern recognition and comparison techniques. Students will conduct challenging latent print examinations and comparisons. Each student will be required to successfully complete a written examination and competency comparison test. Students will also complete a mock case and participate in a mock trial. Prerequisite for registration: Basic Fingerprint ID Course or equivalent PSP approved training. 

Basic Fingerprint Comparison - December 5-9, 2005, PSP, Troop H, Harrisburg, PA.                        $75.00 This course is a basic introduction into the science of friction ridge analysis and fingerprint identification.  This course provides the foundation in friction ridge analysis covering the history of fingerprints, pattern recognition and comparison techniques.           

 

         

 

 

 

 

K9 Monthly Maintenance Training, Offered Twice Monthly, Harrisburg Area Community College, Harrisburg, PA, Cost: $160/Month Dual Certification Program (Narcotics & Patrol) or $145/Month Single Certification Program (Narcotics OR Patrol)
