An on-site has been completed for the assessment of the Whitemarsh Township Police Department  in Montgomery County on April 3, 2008.  The team leader was Chief of Police Randolph G. Cox.  The assessors were Chief of Police Gregory F. Dorney and Chief of Police Thomas C. Gross.

An on-site has been completed for the re-assessment of the Penn Township Police Department  in Westmoreland County on April 21, 2008.  The team leader was Chief of Police Thomas King.  The assessors were Chief of Police Daniel Bair and Lieutenant Mark Shannon.

An on-site has been completed for the re-assessment of the Upper Dublin Township Police Department  in Montgomery County on April 22, 2008.  The team leader was Chief of Police Frank E. Williamson.  The assessors were Major Richard A. Stein and Lieutenant David J. Johnson.
 
02/13/2008 - Scheduled On-Site Assessments

An on-site has been scheduled for the re-assessment of the Allentown City Police Department  in Lehigh County on May 5 and 6, 2008.  The team leader is Accreditation Manager Gerald W. Jarsocrak.  The assessors are Chief of Police David C. Eshbach and Lieutenant Scott E. Hockenberry.

An on-site has been scheduled for the re-assessment of the Derry Township Police Department  in Dauphin County on May 21, 2008.  The team leader is Deputy Chief of Police Richard Bradbury.  The assessors are Executive Assistant Elizabeth Webb and Chief of Police Jesse Lekso, Jr.

An on-site has been scheduled for the re-assessment of the Upper Gwynedd Township Police Department  in Montgomery County on June 2 and 3, 2008.  The team leader is Chief of Police Michael E. Mastroianni.  The assessors are Sergeant Thomas E. Rudzinski and Accreditation Manager James F. Rowden.

An on-site has been scheduled for the assessment of the State College Borough Police Department  in Centre County on June 2 and 3, 2008.  The team leader is Assistant Chief of Police David L. Holl.  The assessors are Sergeant Thomas Waller and Lieutenant Ronald MacPherson.

An on-site has been scheduled for the re-assessment of the Pennsylvania Capitol Police Department  in Dauphin County on June 3 and 4, 2008.  The team leader is Chief of Police Thomas A. Ogden, Jr..  The assessors are Accreditation Coordinator Kristine M. Boyce and Detective Michael W. Gommer.

An on-site has been scheduled for the assessment of the York Area Regional Police Department in York County on June 9 and 10, 2008.  The team leader is Lieutenant Mark T. Shannon.  The assessors are Deputy Chief of Police Lee Benson and Lieutenant Dana Leonard.

An on-site has been scheduled for the assessment of the Middletown Township Police Department in Bucks County on June 9 and 10, 2008.  The team leader is Assistant Chief of Police David L. Holl.  The assessors are Chief of Police Richard F. Garipoli, Jr. and Sergeant Mark T. Joyce.

An on-site has been scheduled for the assessment of the Warminster Township Police Department in Bucks County on June 9 and 10, 2008.  The team leader is Captain Rob Liermann.  The assessors are Chief of Police James Adams and Sergeant Daniel E. Stump.

An on-site has been scheduled for the re-assessment of the Harrisburg City Bureau of Police in Dauphin County on June 16, 2008.  The team leader is Accreditation Manager Gerald W. Jarsocrak.  The assessor is Sergeant Christopher R. Bird.

An on-site has been scheduled for the re-assessment of the Abington Township Police Department  in Montgomery County on June 17, 2008.  The team leader is Chief of Police Richard F. Garipoli, Jr..  The assessors are Sergeant Leon Crone and Sergeant Rodney Varner.
 

08/06/2007 - PLEAC Manual Changes for August 2007

At the July 7, 2007 PLEAC Meeting, the Commission made the following changes to the Manual:

Administrative Manual

Page 8 - Rewording of the NA files to clear up the text.  There is no change to how NA files are to be put together.

Pages 17 & 18 - The wording for Provisional Accreditation and No Recommendation for Accreditation have been changed.

Page 22 - The term "Special Operational Unit" has been deleted.

Standards Manual

Pages 17 & 18 - Standard 1.10.6 has been changed.  These changes include the removal of the reference to "special operational units".  The standard now refers to basic and in-service training for tactical teams, negotiators, animals, and specialized vehicles.
