Amy
has been with the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association since 1992
and was appointed Executive Director in 1999. Under her direction the
Association has facilitated millions of dollars in grant funds which
provide much needed services to police departments, has trained over
4000 officers in a variety of subjects areas and has grown from a
staff of 2 to a staff of ten professional employees. In 1988, Amy
received her Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Kutztown
University. She is a member of the International Association of Chiefs
of Police Executive Directors Committee (SACOP Division), currently
serving as its chairman.
In
addition to her life with the Chiefs, she has a great love for the
theatre and music and often performs in Theatre Harrisburg musical
productions at the Whitaker Center. She has also served as a member of
the theatre’s Board and is active on many committees as well. Amy is
also a Board Member of the PA State Police Historical, Education
and Memorial Center. Amy, her husband Mike (a retired Police
K9 Officer and trainer) and two beautiful sons, Hayden and Tucker,
ages 15 and 13, live in Lower Paxton Township with their faithful
dogs, Chief and Kaos.
