There are four types of membership: Active, Affiliate, Active Life and Honorary. Please view Article IV, Membership, of the Association’s By-Laws for specific membership eligibility requirements.
Membership Fees Initiation Fee—$50 Active—$100 Annual Membership Fee* Affiliate—$100 Annual Membership Fee
Active Membership Full-Time Sworn Chief, Superintendent or Commissioner of Municipal Police in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with police powers; Full-Time Sworn Municipal Police Officer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania who has police powers and holds the rank of lieutenant or above; Industrial Policeman; or Resident AGents or above of any law enforcement entity of the United States government if, at the time of application, such persons are headquartered in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. *Members who are retired and not working are eligible for a discounted dues rate ($50). Please contact Headquarters to update your information. Affiliate Membership Open to those persons, who by occupation or personal inclination, share a mutuality of interests with the Association and its membership. This membership does not afford voting privileges.
Active Life Membership Once you have been an Active Member for 20 years, you are no longer required to pay dues.
