How to Join PCPA . . .

Membership applications are available at the Association office. Or, if you prefer, a form may be mailed or faxed to you— email your request now!

There are four types of membership:  Active, Affiliate, Active Retired and Honorary.

Please view Article IV, Membership, of the Association’s By-Laws for specific membership eligibility requirements.

Membership Fees
Initiation Fee—Please note, ALL new memberships are Free for 2005.
Active—$100 Annual Membership Fee
Affiliate—$100 Annual Membership Fee

Active Membership
Full-Time Sworn Chief, Superintendent or Commissioner of Municipal Police in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with police powers; Full-Time Sworn Municipal Police Officer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania who has police powers and holds the rank of lieutenant or above; Industrial Policeman; or Resident Agents or above of any law enforcement entity of the United States government if, at the time of application, such persons are headquartered in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Affiliate Membership
Open to those persons, who by occupation or personal inclination, share a mutuality of interests with the Association and its membership. This membership does not afford voting privileges.

Active Retired Membership
If you are retired from a position that would have afforded you membership under “active” status, you may apply for Active Retired Membership.

Honorary Membership
This membership category is reserved for appointment by the President.
