16th Annual VIRTUAL Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Accreditation Training Conference

The 2021 accreditation training conference is scheduled for March 22 & 23, 2021.  The training will be conducted virtually.  Training on the schedule this year includes the following:

Monday, March 22, 2021 – 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Accreditation Manager Class/Traditional Paper Files
This class is recommended for every agency that wishes to start working towards accreditation or for newly assigned Accreditation Managers.  Chiefs are encouraged to attend this class with their representatives so they have a full understanding of the work the accreditation manager will be doing. This will be of great help to the chief and the accreditation manager as they work through the process together.

Monday, March 22, 2021 – 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Accreditation Manager Class/PowerDMS
This class is recommended for every agency that will be using PowerDMS, including those agencies switching from paper files to PowerDMS, while working towards accreditation.  Chiefs are encouraged to attend this class with their representatives, so they have a full understanding of the work the accreditation manager will be doing. This will be of great help to the chief and the accreditation manager as they work through the process together.

Assessor Training Class
This class will prepare individuals to perform on-site assessments or prepare them to understand what to expect during an on-site. This class has some prerequisites which are listed on the assessor application. If you wish to attend this class, an assessor application must be completed and submitted with your resume as soon as possible but no later than March 5, 2021 to be approved by the Commission.  Click here for an assessor application. 

Tuesday, March 23, 2021 – 8:00 pm – 12:00 pm   
Assessor and General Updates 
This session is mandatory for assessors who are due for their update training and wish to remain on the active assessor list.  Standards updates will be reviewed.  

Tuesday, March 23, 2021 – 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
PowerDMS
This class will be hosted by PowerDMS.  One of their trainers will pick up where Monday’s AM Manager Class for PowerDMS users left off.  The trainer will present best practices for setting up users, security, document folders, courses, FAQ’s, etc. and take you beyond setting up files and an assessment.

A reminder to all currently certified PLEAC assessors, you are required to have update training at least once every two years if you wish to continue to be on the active assessor list for PLEAC.  If you do not receive the required update training, you will be removed from our list of active assessors.  If you are in question as to your training needs, please contact us and we will provide you with that information.

There is a registration fee of $35.00 per attendee.
