The 2026 accreditation training conference is scheduled for March 30 - April 1, 2026. Training on the schedule this year includes the following:

Monday, March 30, 2026       Select classes for Monday

9:00 am – 4:00 pm      New Accreditation Manager Class
This class is required for newly appointed Accreditation Managers. This class is also recommended for AM’s who are preparing for their first PLEAC assessment. Due to class size, accredited agencies are limited to 1 attendee. Any additional attendees must be approved by the PLEAC Coordinator.

9:00 am – 12:00 pm     The Future of Compliance Technology: AI-Powered Innovation in Accreditation

This class will prepare individuals to perform on-site assessments. This class has prerequisites which are listed on the assessor application. If you wish to attend this class, an assessor application must be completed and submitted with your resume and Acknowledgment Form as soon as possible but no later than February 16, 2026, to be approved by the Commission. Click here for an assessor application and acknowledgment form.

1:00 pm - 4:00 pm          JGPR’s Managing Communications During Critical Police Incidents
Communicating During a Critical Incident 

For police chiefs and public information officers, the ability to communicate clearly, quickly and with credibility during a critical incident is essential. Whether facing an active shooter, a large fire, severe weather or another high-impact event, your agency’s response will be measured not only by operational success but also by how well you inform the media and your community.

This session is recommended for all agencies and is mandatory for assessors who are due for their update training and wish to remain on the active assessor list. Assessors must sign the attendance sheet to get credit.

PowerDMS One-on-One Training Sessions
PowerDMS will be on site all three days offering one-on-one LIVE in person training sessions with users of their software at the PLEAC Conference. The sessions are offered to answer questions, provide technical support and discuss ways to maintain efficiency. You do not need to sign-up beforehand; you can visit them at their booth for the training.

A reminder to all currently certified PLEAC assessors, you are required to have update training at least once every two years if you wish to continue to be on the active assessor list for PLEAC. If you do not receive the required update training, you will be removed from our list of active assessors. If you are in question as to your training needs, please contact us and we will provide you with that information.

Also, the Pennsylvania Police Accreditation Coalition (PPAC) will be sponsoring networking sessions on Monday and Tuesday evenings (7:00 pm – 10:00 pm). The room will offer light snacks, beverages and most importantly an opportunity for you to network with others who are working in the accreditation program.
